FAQs
1. What about a building? We wonder the same thing. God has been blessing and growing this fellowship for the past several years and as a result, the elders have been praying about and searching for a building to estabish a more permanent home for this fellowship. We're in no hurry though and we don't want to get ahead of what God is doing. We want to make sure we follow His plan for building His church. We are working with a commercial realtor and actively, but cautiously, looking at what is available. We will probably stay somewhere inside the beltway, or not very far outside of it, somewhere South of I-66 and West of Route 1.
2. What about giving? There are several ways you can tithe or make an offering. There is a box on the book table over by the worship team, you can use PayPal through the link here on the website (though PayPal does charge the church a fee for this service), or you can set up an automatic bill-pay (ugh, I hate using that term in conjuction with giving to the Lord) through your bank.
3. What about baptism? We usually try to hold an outdoor baptism each summer. If you want to be baptized at any other time, please let one of the pastors know and we will do our best to accomodate you, we've already done one in the Potomac...
4. What about pre-marital counselings and weddings? We offer a 4-6 week home group each Spring for singles, dating couples, engaged couples and married couples to look at the subject of marriage. Attending this group 'counts' for pre-marital counseling. If you can't attend, are looking at getting married sooner, or just want something a little more personal, contact one of the pastors anytime. The pastors are able to conduct marriages in Virginia, Maryland, and the District for couples they believe are ready to enter this holy covenant.
If you have any other questions, please contact the church office.
